Summary
September 14, 2025 Paris Saint-Germain made it four wins in a row in Ligue 1 with a 2-0 win over Lens at Parc des Princes. Bradley Barcola scored twice, once in each half, as PSG went back to the top with 12 points. Lens pushed and pushed but couldn’t get through, staying 9th with 6 points.
The game got hairy with injuries to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Lee Kang-in, and Lucas Beraldo but Luis Enrique’s side stayed focused before their Champions League game against Atalanta. PSG were clinical, dominating 71% possession and giving Lens scraps.
Goals
PSG scored in the 15th minute when Vitinha played Bradley Barcola in on the touchline. He ran forward and hit a low rocket from 25 yards that crashed into the bottom corner past Robin Risser. Beautiful strike, his third of the season. Lens nearly replied early, Odsonne Édouard volleying over from a free-kick but they faded. In the 51st minute Barcola scored again with a stunning solo run, picking up from Vitinha deep in midfield, beating a few challenges and drilling home from the edge of the box for his brace. João Neves played Fabián Ruiz who blazed wide but PSG had done enough.
Player of the Match
Bradley Barcola took Player of the Match for his two goals and energy. The 23-year-old’s direct runs and composure destroyed Lens’s defense, a breakout game for PSG’s attack.PSG had the ball in the early stages, Gonçalo Ramos shooting at Risser from a Ibrahim Mbaye pullback.
Rayan Fofana and Achraf Hakimi clashed but it was all quiet. Will Still’s side grew more adventurous after the break but Lucas Chevalier—no, Gianluigi Donnarumma—didn’t even break a sweat in goal. Sub Fabián Ruiz added some midfield bite, Warren Zaïre-Emery and Vitinha pulling the strings. Lens pushed late but PSG’s backline, despite the injuries, held firm. This win shows PSG are in the title mix, they have the flair and the grit, Lens need to step up to climb the table.
