Barcelona scored in the 7th minute when Fermín López scored after a nice pass from Lamine Yamal and the ball deflected. In the 39th minute Fermín López scored his second, beating defenders and finishing with his left foot, assisted by Dro Fernández. Olympiacos replied in the 53rd minute with Ayoub El Kaabi converting the penalty. But Santiago Hezze’s red card in the 57th minute for fouling Marc Casadó changed the game.
Lamine Yamal scored from the penalty in the 68th minute after fouling Marcus Rashford, who then scored twice in the 74th and 79th minutes, assisted by Alejandro Balde and Pedri. Fermín López completed his hat-trick in the 76th minute with a header, assisted by Roony Bardghji.
Man of the Match
Fermín López was the Man of the Match for his historic hat-trick, the first by a Spanish player for Barcelona in the Champions League. He was great and clinical. Marcus Rashford and Lamine Yamal also played well, Ayoub El Kaabi for Olympiacos.
