Here’s how much Napoli agreed to pay Chelsea for Lukaku
According to reports, Chelsea and Napoli have reached a permanent transfer agreement for Romelu Lukaku. While details have been circulating on social media, it’s now confirmed by sports journalist Fabrizio Romano that the deal is set at €45 million. This includes a €30 million transfer fee with an additional €15 million in potential add-ons.
Napoli had initially seen lower bids rejected, but negotiations progressed well, leading to a compromise close to Chelsea’s asking price. The focus now is on arranging the payment in installments rather than a single lump sum.
Meanwhile, Lukaku has been training separately at Cobham with other players who are not part of Chelsea’s plans. The 31-year-old striker scored just 15 goals in 44 appearances for Chelsea during the 2021-22 season but has spent the last two seasons on loan at Inter Milan and Roma. Lukaku has no interest in returning to Chelsea, and the club is eager to offload his contract permanently.
