Matheus Cunha to Arsenal: Latest Transfer Update and Rumors
Arsenal fans may have to abandon their hopes of seeing Matheus Cunha at the Emirates before the 2025 January transfer window closes.
Wolves manager Vítor Pereira has confirmed that the Brazilian forward remains committed to the club despite growing speculation linking him to both Arsenal and Nottingham Forest.
Nottingham Forest are reportedly preparing a club-record bid for Cunha, with five Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, showing interest in securing his services.
However, Pereira insists that Cunha has never wanted to leave Wolves and is fully focused on their upcoming clash against Arsenal.
He said,
“I had a conversation with Cunha and he is very committed to the club.He has never asked to leave the club. He is here tomorrow and determined to try and beat Arsenal”.
Cunha, who has two-and-a-half years left on his contract, is a crucial part of Wolves’ team as they battle to stay in the Premier League. They are not under financial pressure to sell Cunha either after they made over £90m from the sales of Pedro Neto and Max Kilman last summer, and their priority is to survive relegation in the Premier League.
