Barcelona smashed Como 5-0 in the Joan Gamper Trophy at Estadi Johan Cruyff. Over 30,000 fans were in attendance to see Flick’s team in action.

Barcelona didn’t waste time. In the 21st minute, Fermin Lopez scored. Frenkie de Jong played a nice through ball, and Lopez finished clinically. 1-0. That was the start of the high-pressure, fluid football that would overwhelm Como’s defence.

Barcelona doubled their lead in the 35th minute. Lamine Yamal’s run forced a mistake, and the ball fell back to Lopez, who scored his second. Two minutes later, in the 37th minute, Marcus Rashford went down the left and crossed for Raphinha, who tapped in at the far post. 3-0. The two quick goals left Como stunned.

Barcelona continued to press as Lamine Yamal, wearing the No. 10 jersey, scored in the 42nd minute. Raphinha returned the favour and played a nice pass for Yamal to slot home with ease. 4-0. The 17-year-old’s goal wrapped up a great first half. Barcelona had 57% possession and 7 shots on target.
Second Half Seal
In the second half, Barcelona continued where they left off. Two minutes in the 47th minute, Ferran Torres found Yamal, who beat a defender and scored his second. 5-0. Flick’s team made 10 subs, giving minutes to Gavi and Toni Fernandez, but still kept the intensity. Como barely had a chance to respond.
Key Players
Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez scored two each and were the stars of the show. Raphinha’s goal and assist showed his importance. Rashford’s pace was a problem for Como’s defence. Como, led by Cesc Fabregas, had moments of quality through Alejandro Moreno, but couldn’t handle Barcelona’s attack. Joan Garcia kept a clean sheet and made important saves.

This win, part of a pre-season where Barcelona scored 20 goals in four games, means they’re ready for 2025-26 LaLiga. This was their 47th Joan Gamper Trophy. Como gained experience for their Serie A season. Barcelona now face Mallorca in the LaLiga opener with this win behind them.
