Bayern doubled their lead in the 32nd minute. Luis Diaz, making his Bundesliga debut after joining from Liverpool, showed his skills, cutting inside and hitting a fierce shot that went in, 2-0. Two minutes later, in the 34th minute, Harry Kane scored. Joshua Kimmich’s pass found Kane, who shot the ball calmly, making it 3-0.

After the first half, Bayern continued to dominate. In the 49th minute, Kane scored his second, converting Diaz’s pass, 4-0. Leipzig’s defense crumbled again in the 63rd minute when Olise scored his second goal, beating defenders and hitting past Peter Gulacsi, making the score 5-0. Kane completed his ninth Bayern hat-trick in the 68th minute, heading in Diaz’s pass to make it 6-0. Leipzig’s only chance, a shot from Antonio Nusa, was saved by Manuel Neuer.

Harry Kane was the man of the match with his hat-trick, taking his Bundesliga total to 66goals in 64 games. Michael Olise’s two goals and all-action performance showed his growing importance, while Luis Diaz scored and assisted twice. Jonathan Tah kept Leipzig quiet, but was booked. Leipzig were struggling; Xavi Simons and Lois Openda had no chances to speak of.
