Burnley 0-2 Arsenal: Goals and Highlights
Summary
Arsenal made it nine league wins on the bounce and 12 games unbeaten in all competitions with a 2-0 win at Turf Moor on November 1, 2025. Viktor Gyökeres headed in a close range header from a set piece for his 6th of the season and then set up the second with a brilliant crossfield pass.

Declan Rice finished the second with a powerful header as Arsenal dominated possession and Burnley had zero shots on target in the first half. Scott Parker’s Burnley showed some fight in the second half but couldn’t breach Arsenal’s solid defence which has now kept 7 clean sheets in a row. Gyökeres’ muscular injury forced him off at half time, a concern ahead of the Champions League trip to Slavia Prague but Arsenal’s depth shone through in a comfortable afternoon that proves their title credentials.
Goals
Arsenal broke through Burnley’s backline in the 14th minute from a set piece. Declan Rice swung in a deep corner, Gabriel Magalhães flicked it on from the back post and Viktor Gyökeres headed in from inches out past Martin Dúbravka for his 6th Premier League goal of the season.
Arsenal’s corner prowess continued to pay off—Arsenal have now scored 8 times from corners in their first 10 league games, a record. They doubled the lead in the 35th minute after a quick counter started by Gyökeres. The Swedish forward played a brilliant diagonal pass to Leandro Trossard on the left flank, who delivered a pinpoint cross.
Declan Rice timed his run perfectly, heading in a firm shot into the far corner beyond Dúbravka’s dive. Burnley finally got a shot in the 71st minute through Zian Flemming’s weak header but David Raya was untroubled. A late chance saw Maxime Estève nod a diagonal ball across goal for Mário Florentino to head over but Arsenal coasted to another clean sheet.
Player of the Match
Declan Rice was Player of the Match for his all action display, scoring the second goal and delivering the corner for the first and anchoring midfield with composure. His set piece threat has been huge, Arsenal have now scored 8 times from corners in the league.
Viktor Gyökeres shone before his injury with his goal and assist, Gabriel Magalhães was immense at the back, flicking on for the first and snuffing out threats. For Burnley Josh Cullen and Manuel Benson showed some fight in midfield but couldn’t match Arsenal’s quality.
