A Big Win for Dortmund

On Oct 21, 2025 the UEFA Champions League saw a real nail-biter of an game at Parken Stadium as Borussia Dortmund walked away with a 4-2 victory over FC Copenhagen. Dortmund just keeps racking up the wins and a big thank you goes out to Felix Nmecha for scoring a couple of crucial goals. Dortmund’s bench got a lot of use too thanks to goals from Ramy Bensebaini and Maximilian Beier.

For Copenhagen it was a pretty tough break as they got a goal from an own goal by Waldemar Anton, and Youssoufa Moukoko managed to sneak one past in stoppage time. Unfortunately for them, it just wasn’t their night against the strong attack of Dortmund. This win keeps Dortmund on track with 7 points, where as Copenhagen still hasn’t got a win.

The Goals

Dortmund claimed the early lead in the 20th minute when Felix Nmecha blasted in a shot that came from way out, thanks to a fine pass from Jobe Bellingham getting the score off to a flying start. Copenhagen managed to level things up a bit in the 33rd minute when Waldemar Anton managed to knock a Youssoufa Moukoko shot past Dortmund keeper Gregor Kobel and out of his control and into the net. Dortmund continued to push forward and when they got the chance in the 62nd minute they took it and Ramy Bensebaini let fly with a penalty after a clear foul on Karim Adeyemi.

Then Felix Nmecha did it again in the 75th minute, this time heading in a cross from Yan Couto, and it was all over for the Copenhagen defence. Just 8 minutes later Maximilian Beier scored an 83rd minute goal after a great pass from Julian Brandt and it was really looking grim for Copenhagen. However Youssoufa Moukoko just refused to give up and he added a bit of a consolation goal from Copenhagen in the 88th minute with a very sharp shot.

Player of the Match

And the Player of the Match went to Felix Nmecha for his two great goals and an all-round class performance. The rest of Dortmund’s team also played really well, with Ramy Bensebaini and Maximilian Beier both fighting hard for their team, and Youssoufa Moukoko breaking his heart to try and get a few more goals for Copenhagen. Jobe Bellingham also showed a bit of his class with a great assist.
