Leverkusen 2-7 PSG: Goals and Highlights
Leverkusen 2-7 PSG: A Slaughter At The BayArena
The Lowdown
On October 21st 2025 at the BayArena, Paris Saint-Germain gave a masterclass in how to single-handedly thrash a team in the UEFA Champions League. They destroyed Bayer Leverkusen 7-2, taking their perfect record in the league phase to a whole new level. Désiré Doué really stood out, scoring a brace and causing Leverkusen problems all over the pitch.

Meanwhile Willian Pacho, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes, Ousmane Dembélé, and Vitinha all pitched in for the reigning champions. Up against it, Leverkusen got two penalties from Aleix García but his efforts were in vain – the visitors were just too strong. Red cards for Robert Andrich and Illia Zabarnyi left Leverkusen reeling and that chaotic first half was all the defending champions needed for their third win on the trot.
Goals Galore
PSG got off to a flyer in the 7th minute when Willian Pacho headed in – a pinpoint cross from Nuno Mendes was the perfect delivery. Leverkusen had their first penalty 18 minutes in but Alejandro Grimaldo was unlucky to see his shot come off the post. However it was just the start of the visitors’ problems. Robert Andrich got himself sent off in the 33rd minute after getting in a nasty tussle with Désiré Doué – the referee was aided by a VAR review to make the call.
Leverkusen earned a second penalty in the 38th minute, with **Aleix García scoring from it to level it up. PSG then took charge: Désiré Doué scored twice – in the 41st and 45+3rd minutes, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia poked one in the 44th. And that was just the half – when the teams came back out in the second half, Nuno Mendes scored in the 50th, Aleix García netted another penalty in the 54th, Ousmane Dembélé scored in the 66th, and Vitinha sealed the deal with a late goal in the 90th minute.
Player Of The Match Has Got To Be Doué
It has to be said that Désiré Doué had the game of his life. He scored a brace and was a constant threat to the Leverkusen defence.
Ousmane Dembélé marked his Ballon d’Or win with a goal and really made an impression, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nuno Mendes were also a threat to the Leverkusen back four. And in a bizarre twist, Aleix García gave it his all for Leverkusen despite the 5 goal deficit – well done to him.
