Burnley equalised early in the second half through Lyle Foster, who finished a cross from Jacob Bruun Larsen. United responded quickly with Bryan Mbeumo scoring in the 57th minute with a Diogo Dalot assist.
Burnley equalised again in the 66th minute when Jaidon Anthony scored from a rebound after a Loum Tchaouna shot. The winner came in the 97th minute when Fernandes scored a penalty after Anthony pulled Amad Diallo’s shirt. The VAR decision was confirmed and sparked a lot of debate.
