Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea: Goals and Highlights
Summary
In a one-sided Premier League London derby at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on November 1, 2025, Chelsea won 1-0 against Tottenham, their 5th league win in a row against the Spurs. João Pedro ended his 10 game drought with a first half goal, assisted by a dominant Moisés Caicedo, as Enzo Maresca’s Blues went top 4.

Tottenham, under Thomas Frank, were terrible, had 3 shots and 0.05 xG – the worst by any team in the league this season.
Booed off by the fans after another home defeat, Spurs are now winless in 5 games against Chelsea. The win takes Chelsea to 4th on 20 points, level with Tottenham but above on goal difference, and highlights the hosts’ attacking problems and defensive issues.
Goals
Chelsea dominated from the start, pressing high and creating chances, but Guglielmo Vicario saved from Estêvão and Alejandro Garnacho early on.
The breakthrough came in the 34th minute when Moisés Caicedo, in a monster midfield performance, dispossessed Micky van de Ven and ran forward before playing a lovely pass to João Pedro. Pedro took one touch and hit a right footed shot from the centre of the box into the top left corner, past Vicario’s dive.
It was Pedro’s first goal since August and the away fans went wild. Tottenham barely threatened, Mohammed Kudus’s curler was saved by Robert Sánchez just before half time. In the second half Chelsea wasted chances – Pedro hit the post, Vicario made 8 saves, including a point blank save from the striker. Spurs had 2 tame shots from Kudus, but the Blues’ defence, led by Marc Cucurella, kept a clean sheet.
Player of the Match
Moisés Caicedo Player of the Match for his all action midfield performance, won the ball high up the pitch to set up the goal and completed 92% of his passes. He was labelled a “monster” by the pundits, his tackles and vision broke up Tottenham’s play. João Pedro was clinical with his goal and 5 shots (1.68 xG), Robert Sánchez made the saves. For Tottenham Guglielmo Vicario was great with his saves, Micky van de Ven showed some fight despite the mistake.
