Crystal Palace 2-4 Manchester City Highlights | Premier League

In a thrilling match at Selhurst Park, City found themselves trailing after just three minutes. However, De Bruyne quickly turned the tide with a beautiful curling shot to level the score.

Early in the second half, Rico Lewis put the visitors ahead before De Bruyne set up Erling Haaland to end his goal drought.

De Bruyne then sealed a remarkable performance by scoring his 100th goal for City with a powerful strike.

Pep Guardiola’s decision to rest De Bruyne and Haaland in the previous game against Aston Villa paid off, as City continue their quest to defend the treble they clinched last season.

With just three days until City’s crucial Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid, Guardiola rotated his squad once again. Phil Foden, who scored a hat-trick against Villa, was benched alongside Manuel Akanji, Bernardo Silva, and Jeremy Doku.

Although City seemed strong on paper with the inclusion of John Stones and Oscar Bobb, an early mistake from Stones allowed Palace to take the lead.

Despite this setback, De Bruyne spearheaded City’s attacking efforts, eventually equalizing with a superb goal. Haaland, who had been struggling to find the net, finally scored assisted by De Bruyne.

Palace briefly regained the lead through Lewis before City rallied again, with Grealish playing a pivotal role in their attacking maneuvers.

De Bruyne’s cross found Haaland for City’s third goal, providing much-needed relief for the Norwegian striker. De Bruyne then capped off his stellar performance with his 100th goal for the club.

Although City seemed poised to win by a significant margin, Palace managed to grab a consolation goal through Odsonne Edouard.
