Right from the start, Real dominated, and Joselu scored an impressive header from Dani Carvajal’s cross in the 14th minute, putting the visitors in the lead. Despite missing key players like Courtois, Alaba, and Militao, Real faced another setback as Antonio Rudiger didn’t return after the break due to a leg injury.

In the 38th minute, Joselu had a chance to widen the lead, but Getafe’s goalkeeper, David Soria, made a one-handed save. Getafe’s Mason Greenwood nearly leveled the score in the 51st minute with a strike that hit the post.
Joselu secured Real’s victory by adding another goal in the 56th minute, assisted by Vinicius Jr. Despite a chance for a hat-trick, he opted to set up Vinicius, whose close-range chip was saved by Soria.
Real Madrid now sits at 57 points, two ahead of Girona and 10 clear of Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. The upcoming matches against Atletico and Girona are crucial in the La Liga title race.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed optimism, saying, “If we win the next two games, we will have six more points, and that will be good.” However, he also expressed concern about Rudiger’s injury, hoping to have him back for the upcoming derby against Atletico Madrid on Sunday.
